ever since I bought the P3Dv.4 of the PMDG777 I am no longer able to pick up the LOC or GS automatically like before...................why?

Is your nav data updated for your P3Dv4 version of the 777? Does this match up with the simulator's nav data?

If the problem for you is the nav data not matching up, fsAerodata is worth a look. It does cost a little to use it, and you have to have a Navigraph subscription, but it really is worth it.
