October 28, 20178 yr I finished rebuilding my scenery, replacing Bing as the source with USA-2. LIke the USA-2 source better, the colors are more muted, less vibrant. So far no issues with files disappearing, and I've turned off Network Discovery in case some Malware was exploiting a hole in my system. I scanned with Spybot and cleaned up some garbage. John

If you are never intended to provide meaningful bug reports to Laminar, then wait until more advanced users get through the Beta phase, and grab the Stable release, once it becomes available.
