March 29, 200521 yr Hi all, In MSFS sometimes(usually in a IFR flight) the pilot would say, for example, " American 4634 with India, ready to taxi" or "Continental 4857 ready to taxi, with Tango" or something like that. what does the "with *whichever letter*" mean??Thanks.
March 29, 200521 yr It means the ATIS airport information. For example if pilots says "with India" it means he listened to the airport information "India". The controller then knows he doesn't have to repeat whatever is in the report 'I'. But if airport just switched to 'J' then the controler knows the pilot has to be updated - he doesn't have the latest ATIS.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
