Hi!  I'm trying to open taxi mantinance window but the program give me an error. (Unhandled excepton has occurred in your application........    Object reference not set to an instance of an object.).

I download the last version 2.3.1.1.

I cannot replicate this.

Are you connected to the SIM when you try opening it?  Is there a flight plan crated or filed when you attempt to open it?

Please take a screenshot of the error message with the Details button pressed to show the top part of the error details and send to me at admin @ pilot2atc.com.

I have this vary same issue. This is how I recreate it:

pilot2atc (on), x plane 11 started @ KJFK, P2A connected (sim connected, recon engine installed, grammars loaded), new flightplan; choose KJFK (as dep airport) and KLGA (as arr airport), autoplan flightplan.

All looks good so far.

Click Taxi Mnt.

...and I get this error:

unfortunately your latest update 2.3.1.2 did not fix our issue.

Remarks:

- installation with installer did the job, I can launch P2A without any issues. I can click and easily open any other (Info, TERP, Auto, Grmr or Config) windows.

- if I click Taxi Mnt (when X Plane 11 is NOT running), there is no error message any more, but nothing happens. Still no TaxiMnt window.

- If I click Taxi Mnt (when X Plane 11 is connected to P2A, recog eng installed, grammars loaded), there is no error message, but nothing happens. No TaxiMnt window popping up.

If you're not getting the error message box then likely the TaxiMnt screen is opening off screen or underneath some other programs.

Go to the task bar and hover over the P2A icon and see if a small taxiMnt screen is visible next to the main window.  If so, click on it.  If it does not appear, it is probably off screen and you need to right-click it, press Move and use the arrow keys to get it back on screen.

thanks for your quick reply. As soon as I click Info, TERP, Auto, Grmr or Config (or even all together), the small extra icon appears on the task bar. I can hover on it (or multiple screens simultaneously). I can easily activate any of them with my mouse. So I know what you mean in your message.

BUT. Unfortynately TaxiMnt button doesn´t bring out any (extra) icon on the task bar. Only the main window icon is visible.

Remarks: when clicking taxiMnt, white frame around the letters (TaxiMnt) turns BOLD.

Can you figure this out?!!!!

Try running Pilot2ATC as Administrator by Right-clicking the program file or icon and selecting "Run as Administrator" from the menu.  Perhaps there is an access issue in your installation.

thanks once again for your kind help and efforts.

I always log in Win10 user account as an admin. I have installed pilot2ATC and the latest update as an Administrator (right mouse button, run as administrator). As you advised, I tried to launch P2A short cut icon on the desktop and program file .exe (in P2A folder) right clicking it (Run as administrator), but no joy: P2A works perfectly except Taxi Mnt.

Is there any specific method to find out if this is the access issue?

How to ensure, that P2A files and folders are installed properly (e.g. user permission to these files or folder is granted)?

Should I simply give up now and do reinstall or uninstall + clean install? What do you prefer?

 

 

I would download and run a fresh copy of the 2.3.1.2 update first.  This will replace all the code files and leave the data files alone.

If you don't have any user mods to the data yet, you can download and install one of the full versions of the program and that will replace all the files including all the data files.  No need to uninstall as this will replace everything.

Let us know what happens.

this is what happened: I installed 2.3.1.2 update version first, but it didn´t remove the (TaxiMnt) issue. I was logged in Win10 user account as an administrator. I also right clicked installer and used Run as administrator command. Next, I downloaded full version of 2.3.1.2 with NaviGraph and installed and launched it as above (to the same folder). The issue still exist! My only remark is, that Win10 smart screen triggered, when launching (both installers). I switched it off during the installation. I even did one safe mode installation. But no joy!!??? I feel defeated, ...but still pretty happy because the rest of the P2A is a gem, even a diamond! Please let me know if you still have any solutions left.
