November 12, 20178 yr Hello! I own FSX boxed and I have had a problem with the autopilot in all of my default and add on aircraft since I bought the game. The autopilot (in literally every aircraft I add into the sim whether its the Carenado PA46T or the default 737 or the Project Airbus A320 or even the default C172 or C208) will only change in increments of 10 for the heading, or increments of 1000 for the altitude. This issue makes it extremely difficult to comply with ATC instructions on VATSIM. Please don't give me any B.S, I have searched the forums already, and no one has an answer so far. THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE WITH A SPECIFIC AIRCRAFT, THIS ISSUE DISPLAYS ITSELF IN EVERY AUTOPILOT EQUIPPED AIRCRAFT IN MY FSX. Please ease my pain, and help me with this issue. Thanks! Dylan
November 12, 20178 yr Dylan, This is called the "Control Acceleration" problem; but if you have this all the time and even with all default aircraft, it's not normal. Two things that helps reduce the problem (not: solve it, because it's a structural issue in FSX): 1. Make sure you have the FSX SP-1 and SP-2 installed. 2. Make sure you limit the framerate such, that you get a stable framerate of at least 16-18 fps. Unstable framerates or too low framerates makes the problem worse. If you can't get a stable framerate, reduce quality sliders or other features that affect framerate. And if this doesn't help: The registered version of FSUIPC has a feature called FixControlAccel, which in most cases solves it. See also the UserGuide of FSUIPC, which describes the problem perfectly; you can download FSUIPC, without registering, at:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html Rob
