Freeware Citation is loads of fun

Recommended Posts

I found a couple of freeware Cesna citations both by the same developer. The first one was kind of a bear to try to fly but, the second one was a pretty well behaved little airplane. It's called a "Citation Excel". It's not perfectly modeled nor is everything that you might want all that functional but, it's still fun to fly!

One has to be very mindful of the throttle! Even though you've got it standing on its tail, headed for outer space, you can still get to an overspeed situation. Level flight at 250 knots only needs about 55 - 60%!

Landings are fairly easy and you CAN use the autopilot to fly an orderly ILS approach. However, use of the "GPS" that is included, but not part of the VC cockpit, is just to help you have a visual reference of your course... it does not affect the autopilot.

I made a video, below, and a commenter said that the cockpit is not a citation cockpit but a Lear cockpit... could be. It's still a fun little airplane to fly and beginner friendly.
