I am having trouble finding a set of Cloud Art settings that closely resemble the usual gloomy British skies. My current sets from all the hundreds of possible combinations are:- Instinctive 1/Mirror/Delicate.

 Suggestions from other users will be most welcome, as my current sets still don't seem right.

Have you tried ASCA's "Full Dynamics" or "Global Automatic" themes?  Using ASCA in conjunction with AS16 or ASP4 will give you the best presentation based on METAR, global location, season etc.  Users are advised to install a theme prior to using one of the dynamic themes, which you have already done of course but I just wanted to point that out.
