December 30, 20178 yr Author Sorry for the late reply, but I now know why I was having this problem. I had designated some parking spots as GATE and RAMP, but I mistakenly used RAMP_GA for this. This seems to encourage even small aircraft that only use RAMP parking spots to use them, even though much smaller parking spots are available. In short, if you want to designate a GATE parking spot for Gate and Ramp use, you need to use RAMP_CARGO. Changing the designations of the affected parking spots has solved this problem on my PC. It's worth noting that the same problem occurs if you designate a parking spot as GATE and MIL_COMBAT.
