Are you using settings on Nvidia Inspector? Or any add-on for shaders improvement?

I think I installed some a shader package thing or a preset through PTA or something like that.

That might be the cause, can you disable this add-on, reset your shaders and confirm if the problem is still present?

I'm unsure how to disable it, I went into PTA and reset everything and as far as I can tell the problem still persists.

Try uninstalling it to see if your problem gets resolved.

You need to discard what add-on or configuration is causing this on your system.

I've tried removing as much as i can to no avail

I looked around at some videos of the addons and it appears to be an effect that Aerosoft try to pull of to make it look more realistic but the HDR doesn't really agree with it.
