Even though the dials are all set to ON and the squawk code is correct, it doesn't appear as though RC4 recognizes the transponder in the Alabeo M20R. What component does RC4 look at to determine if the transponder is available?

RC4 will look for the default transponder. I very much doubt that aircraft has a specialist transponder.

If you are familiar with FSUIPC why not monitor the offset for the transponder? All in the user guide.

Go into FSUIPC - Logging and enter 0354 in the offset and probably U8 or U16 in type. The number it returns shows the transponder code stored in FSX/P3D.

Here's how to check. Enter 0354 and U16 in FSUIPC Logging and output to FS Title Bar.

You will get a number displayed. Open Calculator and switch to Programmer mode.

Select Dec and enter the number displayed in the Title bar. Press the Hex radio button. The result is the Transponder code held in FSS/P3D.

Sorry about that. I've been traveling for work for the past two weeks and have finally been home long enough give these steps a try today. I should have something back within the hour.

I just performed the steps after getting the transponder code from RC4 (which I set to 5443, FSUIPC title bar shows 4608). The resulting HEX value is 1200 (VFR). I'm guessing Alabeo didn't program the transponder code action properly.

Then you need to raise a ticket and point them to this topic so you can prove you’ve done your homework. Absolutely no need for the Transponder to be a non-standard function.
