December 20, 20178 yr I have the Carenado 340 for FSX,for me the panel is not very good, the autopilot,no heading bug that works, altitude settings etc I have put the default 2d Baron panel in the plane, but the problem is if I don't have the AP heading set the plane upon takeoff,it veers to the left uncontrollably and crashes, with the autopilot on is the only way to fly it, it cannot be hand flown . So basically I want to put another panel in to replace the default 340 panel. Thanks for any help you can provide
December 23, 20178 yr It may be worth trying an uninstall and reinstall or redownloading and reinstalling the Carenado 340, as your installation may be corrupt. I have the 340 and haven't found any problems with either the heading bug or autopilot, both of which function perfectly. Sure, the autopilot does not allow you to set an altitude which it will automatically capture but not all GA aircraft have autopilots with the ability to do this and, as you probably know, it's therefore a matter of using the UP/DN switches on the AP to control your vertical speed and then selecting ALT when you have reached the desired altitude.
