April 20, 200620 yr Wow! I finally broke down and purchased Flightscenery's Flightzone RI, and the F1 ATR. I'm usually a GA driver. I've flown a bunch of freeware and the default big rigs, but, having never actually sat down with the manuals and determining how to fly them by the numbers, and therefore I usually never quite make it to the runway.Well, I hopped in the ATR, (it was already fired up for me by the ground crew), took off from KPVD, and HOLY COW, the scenery is just AWESOME, and flying the ATR is like a dream. And I landed just (about) fine at the just as awesome KBOS2 by George Grimshaw without ever cracking a manual, (and no untoward beeping along the way :). Guess I did something right). You know, it's just not fair. There is just so much to this software, how am I ever going to get anything else done?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
April 20, 200620 yr I had some problems with CTDs tht I couldn't find a resoulution to, even on the Flightzone forums. Did you fly from New York to Providence?
April 20, 200620 yr Nope, haven't done that yet. But I will.I have UT/USA, BEV 1-4, FSG landclass, FSG freeware mesh are the major things I have installed, besides the software I mentioned, plus lots of airports for the region.Framerates were for the most part very smooth. It would pause at times when I switched from inside to outside and back again while it loaded textures, but the flying was very smooth.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
April 20, 200620 yr Simple: Enjoy what you have right now, and be glad with what you have. In other words, enjoy FS2004 as it is with the add-ons that you have right now, and fly as much as your time allows without thinking that you couldn't get anything else done, or that you couldn't fly enough in FS2004. Why? Because not only do some people don't have FS2004, but some people don't even know what FS2004 is, and worse still, some people couldn't even afford to buy a PC. So, be glad with what you have, and just enjoy FS2004 as much as your free time allows!! :)Regards,
