The 737NGX Is Just Not Working At All

Featured Replies

So I've recently been having a problem with the PMDG 737NGX. I felt like redo-ing the Innsbruck Visual Approach that came with the Tutorial #2 saves upon installation. I was able to load it up easily, provided that I recently started up FSX:SE. The approach was going smoothly until the autopilot started to pitch the aircraft down infinitely until it started plummeting down to the ground. However, that's not my problem today(I'll find a fix for it later).

When I hit (CTRL) and (;) to reload the save, I successfully load in the position I should be, inside the PMDG 737-800WL before the circling visual approach for RWY08 at LOWI(Innsbruck). However, I don't get the message near the top of my FSX window, saying "Systems Initializing... 20". In fact, it doesn't even show up at all. Because the systems don't initialize, I'm left with no control over anything except lifting/raising the in-game yoke. It essentially makes the big metal bird lifeless, forcing it to plummet to the ground. It also makes me look like an word not allowed because all I can do to try to save the flight is by lifting/raising the yoke, which obviously does nothing.

I tried asking some buddies if they had any idea what was going on; they have no idea as of now. Google? Not a chance. None of my searches produced anything worthwhile. All I tried to do was reinstall the PMDG 737. It worked for one of my buddies when he had this glitch. It didn't work for me, unfortunately.

I started up Free Flight yesterday with the 737, as that had worked for me previously. Fortunately, all systems initialized, and I was able to turn some switches/knobs/buttons in the cockpit. However, it was only some buttons, and I wanted to see if another reload would help it. I bet you can guess what happened there. The systems did initialize, but I couldn't do anything at the gate. If anyone would be so kind as to help me with this predicament, I'd extremely appreciate it! I'll also add some of my PC specs below. Maybe that'll help you guys, but I doubt it might do anything special in the search for a solution.

PC SPECS:

  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M w/ 4GB of VRAM
  • Intel i7-4771 @ 3.50 GHz
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Windows 10, 64-bit

Thanks!

Hi Alexander,

Posting in the forum isn't the recommended way to get support.  Try going here (https://support.precisionmanuals.com) , registering and submitting a ticket. Chances are it'll be looked at much sooner.

Reinstalling rarely ever fixes anything. If it does, it's usually simply coincidental. I'd avoid it as a future option for 'fixing' things.

As far as the issue goes, are you running the NGX prior to trying to load an NGX flight save? If so, please have a look at the Intro Manual's section on things to avoid doing.

Just looked at it now(Pg. 21 if I'm correct). That may as well be my issue. Will check to see if it is.
