ILS not aligned with runway

Featured Replies

Hello

I havent been doing much IFR flying for the past week, so this missed slipped my notice. The ILS approaches are no longer aligned with the runway across different airports. I tested at a few airports myself, and the ILS is turned towards the right hand side. I l also checked using LittleNavMap, and all the ILS and runway headings (Magnetic) are apart by 1 to 4 degrees.

I am using the magdec.bgl and the NavData update from aero.sors.fr webstie. Is anyone else using the same also having similar issues, or is the problem somewhere else ?

Cheers

9W

PS I do not have fsaerodata installed

My first question would’ve been have you installed any mag or nav data recently. Knowing that you have, could you remove it and try it again?

You’re not alone, I’ve heard of this happening to several users.

Both the mag and Nav Data ? I have the magdec.bgl backed up, but the other files might be a bit difficult. I'll give it a go.

Thankfully the installer had backups of the original files. I restored all original files, and the magdec.bgl, and refreshed the littlenavmap database, but I can still see there is a difference between runway and ILS headings.

I did a test flight, and still the ILS is off by 2 to 3 degrees. Is there anything else that can be causing this ?

Is your issue with all airports or specific airports.

There are airports that have an offset of 2-3 degrees , like Nice.
