January 1, 20188 yr I have recently updated to Pilot2ATC v2.4.0.4 x64 version. After updation, the issue of delayed response of ATC after pressing PTT has improved significantly. However, a few issues are still there : 1. With aircraft at GA ramp requesting taxi to Rwy 25 L, following response is obtained from ATC : Taxi to Rwy 25 L via taxiway Sierra, Foxtrot, Charlie, Delta. The point to be noted is that there are no Foxtrot, Charlie, Delta taxiways at EDDF. So the taxi instructions are not correct. 2. When tower is contacted at downwind Rwy 25L, instructions received from tower are to "contact while turning final". While turning final to Rwy 25L, when tower is contacted, it says "Go ahead" rather than giving instructions. Proper response is obtained after contacting 2 to 3 times. 3. I have setup Pilot2ATC on networked PC. Previously, joystick PTT button setup for networked arrangement was working correctly but now it is not. so I have to use mouse to click PTT button on Pilot2ATC menu. The video for VFR Pattern Work has helped me a lot to learn phrases which are synchronized with P2A ATC and made it easier to use Pilot2ATC. I suggest that a video for VFR cross country flight should also be made for further help in understanding.
January 1, 20188 yr Commercial Member Glad the update is more stable for you. 1. P2A develops the taxi route based on the data. Many airports have different layouts vs. the default data and must be edited in Taxi Mnt. The import function lets you import from your SIM scenery and in some cases, this is better than the default data. In some cases, you will need to make manual changes, even after the import. Be sure to read the manual as these functions are complex. Also, back up your data before starting. 2. When turning final, you need to say "<CallSign> turning final runway xx, touch and go" or "....., full stop". If you tell tower your landing preference on downwind, you will get immediate clearance to land and not be asked to call turning final. 3. You may need to go through the setup process again with the new version. It should work if you set it up as you had it before, but each environment is different. Be sure the other programs in your setup can interact with x64 based programs. More videos are planned, including one for a VFR cross country. Dave
