What are best autogen trees?

Featured Replies

There have been many attempts to improve on the autogen trees and I have tried most, but cannot make up my mind which are the best. What recommendations would fellow simmers make or are using, especially in conjunction with GE2006 ?Regards,Stuart Hyett

Stuart,I usually try just about every set that's released. The ones I'm most happy with are Feng Zhu's recently released TreeGen V 1.0. They are the first "smaller trees" (60 percent of default height) that have really looked just right to me -- and I'm running them with GE and BEV.John

Thanks,I too think they look pretty good, but there has been some mention of graphic issues with them when on a ridge, whereby they initially appear with a block around them. Maybe graphic card dependant.I'll give them another look too.Regards,Stuart

The graphics glitch I reported with the said autogen trees could be limited to certain drivers / cards, but even if it isn't it's only visible under very specific conditions.I'm still using the package and it's greatly enhanced my flights out in the wilds.

I'm liking TreeGen a lot so far. The small individual trees and higher concentrations of them make for much more believable forests.
