January 3, 20188 yr There was a long thread in which many were asking if Skyforce dynamically injects clouds into the simulator using another weather engine like Active Sky. Moreover, some were wondering if it only injects *structures* or also *textures* as well. The answer is right on the REX product page screenshot of the Skyforce UI - next to the Real Time Sync Mode On/Off button is the note: "Enable to allow the REX Skyforce weather engine to sync 3D cloud model structures **and textures** based upon specific weather conditions in real-time as you fly within the simulator" Dave Simulator: P3Dv6.1 System Specs: Intel i7 13700K CPU, MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk Motherboard, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Video Card, 3x 1TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 2280 SSDs, Windows 11 Home OS My website for P3D stuff: https://sites.google.com/view/thep3dfiles/home
January 3, 20188 yr Author Wait a second - maybe the question is not completely answered. The note only refers to the **Skyforce** weather engine. Will it do this using other weather engines as well? Developers, would you please answer this question once and for all? Thanks. January 3, 20188 yr Another few questions which haven’t been answered: how does SkyForce know which textures to sync? Is it random or not? If it works with AS, does it somehow read AS files or does it read the actual weather in the sim? If so, how?
January 3, 20188 yr You need to discuss those issues in the SkyForce forum. The developer's visit AVSIM occasionally but they are not always here to answer your questions leading others to post wrong or misleading information.
