VFR Patterns and Altitudes

Featured Replies

Whenever I plan a VFR flight, the altitudes it gives me for entering the pattern stays at my plan altitude.  I've attached screenshots of an example.

Thanks!

When flying VFR you do not use the altitudes in the flight plan.

Like the real world, pattern altitudes and pattern direction are part of the airport information.  In P2A, click the Info tab and check the Runways and Gates tab for the Patter Alt/Direction for each runway.

The pattern is drawn on the map just as a guide for how you might enter the pattern.  You can ignore the altitudes in the flight plan.
