January 23, 20188 yr Hi everyone, I was flying very much on FSX few years ago..But I had a break because of school. Now I bought a new System to fly again with P3D V4.I will give the spec's of my system and can anyone give some advices, add-on's for reality and tweaks for realism and quality.I guess my new system will be enough for a good quality. And one more question should I install P3D on my SSD or HDD will it make a big difference or not from reading speed of the scenery and autogen ? Thanks. System Spec's : CPU - Intel i7 7700K 4.20GHz GPU - Asus Strix Rog GTX1080 8 GB Mainboard - Asus Strix Z270F Ram - BALLISTIX Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Kit DDR4 4GBx4 2400 DIMM SSD - Samsung 850PRO 512GB HDD - WD Black 2 TB
January 24, 20188 yr That is a great system for P3D! Personally, I would install P3D on the SSD... if you ever run out of space, you can move it.. As for tweaks, none are required.. Here are some suggested settings to get you started: SETTINGS within P3Dv4 Display: FXAA off AA: 4XSSAA texture filtering: anisotropic 8X texture resolution: high 2048x2048 Vsync off Target framerate: unlimited Wideview aspect: off mipmap VC panels off Screen resolution: 1920X1080 (or whatever your monitor resolution is..) World LOD radius: high Tesselation factor: high mesh resolution: 5m texture resolution: 1m high resolution terrain: on Scenery complexity: extremely dense autogen draw distance: medium autogen vegetation density: normal autogen building density: dense Dynamic vegetation: unticked water detail: medium Reflections: user vehicle only Special effects: medium/medium Lighting shadow quality: high draw distance: low casting and receiving: Internal vehicle only HDR on: Brightness 0.85 Bloom 0.85 Saturation 0.80 Dynamic reflections: off Bert

Also which Add-ons do you use for making P3D more realistic ? I use Orbx scenery (Global + Regions), and the Flight1 GTN 750 in most of my aircraft. NI is not needed (unlike FSX..) There are also weather programs etc available.. just search the forums. Bert
