May 11, 200620 yr I bought the add on to fs2004 and thought I had eneoph background to figure everything out but was stimed when I right clicked the heading button to make the plane track the route as it neared. The route changed from dashed green line to solid green but as many times as I have tryed it the plane wont follow the course to the destination airport. It always follows a green tick at the top of the arch or a blue mark and for the life of me I cant figure it out. We downloaded a toutorial flight and maybe that will clarify somethings. If you can get me on track I would be forever grateful. If Im posting on the wrong site please tell me where someone else could answer for me. Thanks Jim P.S. I also had a question about the brakes but first things first.
May 11, 200620 yr If your referring to perfect Flight A380 or overland A380..i cant help you, however if you have Wilco's version (although is been a long time since ive used it) understand that push is managed mode, the aircraft will do as programed by the eicam. In order to it fly a selected heading do pull and it will fly whatever heading you tell it to.. is this what you mean?
May 19, 200620 yr I have the Wilco version. After reading the toutorial flight it will follow the flight path if you use High altitude airways. But it wont track gps. It wont track high alt airways if you try to trim down the flight plan either. Jim Thanks I dont know what av fuel cost but there has to be a lo of extra miles on it. Its rediculus on a flight from einn to kord I was comeing in from San Fran.
May 19, 200620 yr I have the Wilco version. Im trying to track the heading after useing gps in the flight planner. It will track high altitude airways but why not gps. High alt airways take you all over the place. Jim
May 19, 200620 yr Author It's much too early for anyone to accurately design software for an aircraft that isn't even in service yet. Money spent now is wasted in my opinion, but that's just me.Come back in 18 months maybe?Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Dave Taylor

May 30, 200620 yr I got it to work by last by accident so I know it will follow a gps track, but I cant seem to duplcate the feet. It seemed like it had something to do with programing the route after becomeing airborne. Ill try to post this as a new message. This thread may be stale by now. Thank Jim
May 31, 200620 yr Dave they haven't even got the A320 down yet let alone the A380... :-lol FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
May 31, 200620 yr Once you've flown one Airbus in theory you have pretty much flown them all systems wise. Unfortunately this is Flight Sim, and everybody has different ways of making the same things happen. :(
May 31, 200620 yr I think what you're trying to do is to "fly" the A380 from Wilco with the GPS/AA in FSNavigator, which is not a good idea. Fly the add-on as stated in the operating manual and do not use any external tools to bring it on track with the GPS, as it might interfere with the route programmed in the MCDU. That should help.
May 31, 200620 yr Well I am somehow blinded by the light, and I am sure there is a simple explanation, but if no one knows what it is Im not buying anymore till I know what the secret is. Maybe Im missing something but Im to confused to come up with any different solutions. I have the airbus a380 add on by abacus which also had a catch to it but I was able to figure that one out. I know when Im licked also where. thanks jim
June 5, 200619 yr can you ajust the route on the fmc after you load a flight plan. the plane will ony follow high altitude airways. you can ajust it prior to loading it to trim it down somewhat. i just want to know if it can be ajusted after your up and running. it doesnt work like my other fmcs. jim
March 4, 200719 yr I had this problem, but when you are ready for the aircraft to follow the route shown as a line. leave the HDG to 340, then left click (the aircraft will strt to turn to 340) then right click it as soon as it starts turning right click it and it will start flying the route. You may notice this in one of the preiew videos the it turns to your right and then to the left,Hope this helps,Steven
