Problem with painting A2A birds

Recommended Posts

Had a quick look at the textures , unfortunately I don't have the C182 so I can't try it myself in the sim but here is my version of your paint .

One note , the spinner ( top left ) is drawn twice , stationary ( bottom 3 cones ) and in motion ( top 3 ) , you have to paint all of them . I used 192,192,192 for the spinner and 32,32,32 for the alpha , you will ( possibly ) have to alter this yourself to suit you but from what I know this should be a good starting point .

Here is yours in the sim and the spinner looks great! I guess I just assumed the spinner would be chrome stock out of the paint kit and didn't realize I had to actually paint it myself to get the chrome on it.

Again I appreciate all the help y'all. (Off to the paint booth I go.......)

EDIT: and yes the 172 in the background is another one of my paint projects

If the C172 is also from A2A , the spinner is more central on the texture sheet ( to the right of the prop textures ) but the principle is the same , there is a stationary and a " blurred " texture that have to be painted .

Hi Folks,

Great teamwork and glad you got it sorted - careful - the painting thing can be addicting - it's pretty satisfying getting your own paint job working in the sim... Once I paint something I'm happy with - it's usually all I fly...

Enjoy...

Regards,
Scott

I might have been bitten by the A2A bug after looking through my C172 textures , just a shame that I will have to buy the P3D version as well as I hardly use FSX these days .

No idea if A2A has sales these days .
