P3D V4.1 crash

Featured Replies

So lately P3D has been crashing randomly.  Sometimes ill get halfway through programming my FMC and it will freeze for a couple seconds then disappear.  Other times ill be flying for 2 hours and it will freeze then crash. It doesnt matter what plane im flying.  Sometimes I'll have an error in the event viewer other times I wont.  Although im getting a bunch of errors in the content error log.  mostly referencing payload stations.

Which addon do you think is causing this freeze/crash?  Errors in the content error log will not create a crash.  Since the freezes/crashes are random, it's impossible to determine the cause with the information provided.  It sounds like you might have something else running in the background taking up resources.  Perhaps a scheduled update to Windows?  The AVSIM CTD Guide, starting at page 10 (see link in my signature), provides a method you can use to investigate what might be causing your crash.  You need to go back to a basic setup of P3D and start adding things again (does not require reinstalling anything).
