February 11, 20188 yr Hello everyone, i have a problem with the armed speedbrakes. If i prepare my landing with the 747 and armed the speedbrakes the don´t open completly after touchdown (only have of them open), so i have to open them manually. It looks bad and isn´t real. Does anyone know about this problem. i have the current version install and use FSX. Thanks for the help Best regards, Marcel
February 11, 20188 yr First off, PMDG rules require you to sign your posts with your first and last name. I assume your username is your full name, but they want it either in a signature block that you can set, or signed at the end of your post, where you signed your first name. As for the issue itself, I'm curious as to your landing technique and what exactly you do. Also, is the issue one that you can repeat consistently. I've had it happen several times, and I think there was a post about this a while back, but I'm not really sure what the cause of it was. February 11, 20188 yr Hi, Maybe interference with a hardware? Do you have an axis set for the speedbrakes? Romain Roux Avec l'avion, nous avons inventé la ligne droite. St Exupéry, Terre des hommes.
February 12, 20188 yr There are lots of possible variables here, so you need to be more specific because they are realistic in operation if you have them set up correctly. For example, your problem could be down to a hardware (axis) configuration/calibration issue if you are using a throttle quadrant or similar. Unfortunately, you don't say which half, or if all of the spoilers fail to fully extend or only some of them. What happens to your speedbrake lever on mainwheel touchdown? Does it move to UP as it should, or does it only move to the Flight Detent position? ? Are you only seeing the Flight Spoilers extend on the ground or are you seeing all six spoiler panels only partially extended? Bertie Goddard Bertie Goddard
February 12, 20188 yr Author Hello everyone, thanks for the answers. I just do the normal work for the landing. Set the flaps to full. Pull down the gear. Retract the speed. and set the speedbrakes via keyboard command Shift + # to armed. after the Maingear touchdown the speedbrakes open to "Flight ident" and i have to open them manually again. And thats bad. I only use the keyboard command of the FSX. Thanks and best regards, Marcel Herrmann
