May 23, 200620 yr Hi all, can anyone point me to some good radial engine sounds that would fit the Grumman Goose. Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
May 24, 200620 yr From the traffic on the forum. the favorite radial engine sound seems to be Mike Hambly's Gee-Bee Racer sound set. Here is the link to the library.http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Loca...=ftp&DLID=13674[p class=dcmessage] BradKELP/KBIF http://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/BannerSig_BMBanister.jpgAMD Athlon XP 2600, Asus A7V600, 1GB PC3200, NVidia GeForce 6800, SB Live
May 24, 200620 yr The Beechcraft Model 18 (C-45) uses the same R-985 engines. My choice for the Beech is the sound file created by Des Braban for the C-45. You can find it here in a file named cp-c45g.zip.You might want to compare this sound with the one mentioned in the previous post.Regards,JerryH
May 24, 200620 yr You might also give a listen to the R-985 set for Milton Shupe's Spartan Executive. (Here at AVSIM).M. --Mike MacKuen

Just for clarity sake, the Spartan set is based on Mike Hambly's GeeBee Racer set. With permission, we did some mods to his work to better suit our needs. I love it. :-)
