Hey everyone it's been a long time since I posted anything but I seriously need some help changing out the default AI p 51 pace plane to a T-133 A jet. But every time I try to change it I always get an error saying " Failed to read from file". Here's how I attempted to do it:

I went into C drive: Microsoft games: then into the Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder.

Then went into the Missions folder. Went into the racing folder. Then into Reno single player. Then opened RenoSP-AIPacePlane.FSR

Here's what I did below.

(Sim.452)

Sim=P51 Racer 8

And changed it to

(Sim.452)

Sim=Lockheed T-33A 2

 

Saved it then went in to the game and tried to launch the mission and it said failed to read from file then froze. What do I need to do to make it work correctly?

Well, I see we're back at it!  Let's see if there is something missing or needed!

First off, I would hope you typed in [Sim.452] using brackets and not (....).  Sim=T33A 2  is that the only T33A in that aircraft folder or are there more?  What download did you use for the T-33A?

Now under [Sim.452]  there should be a whole lot more info concerning the aircraft.  Did you transfer in everything that applies to the T-33A ? [Engine Parameters], [Fuel], [Systems], [Gauges], [Switches], [Autopilot], [Controls]?

Probably this T-33A  Looking at the title= Lockheed T-33A 2  You forgot to put Lockheed

into your Sim=Lockheed T33A 2  That's why it can't find it.

That is the correct jet That I am trying to use And I Did put Lockheed. And they are in brackets not Parenthesis So what do I do ?

There are more than one T33A in the folder. And I used internet explorer and I believe it was flyawaysimulations that I downloaded it from.

OK, you don't always have to quote in your replies.  Remember what I said about all of the stuff below [Sim.452]?  That is what describes how the aircraft flies and performs.  I don't think a T-33A will fly and perform like the P-51 you are trying to replace.

If changing that information doesn't help then I am at a loss!

OK so if I were to place all of those things with the correct things that you're telling me to do what I have to go in to the T33A CFG And Pull the correct info out of there Then put it into the mission ?

That makes 2 of us!  I don't have Acceleration so I don't have the P-51 racers or that Mission.  I'm going by "guess and by golly"!
