Flaps animation and some feedback

Featured Replies

Hello guys, amazing work you guys have done here.. The are a few things I think that could be improved..

1- The flaps animation are a litle laggy.. It should be more fluid. Looks like it's moving on frames.

2- I've noticed that the parking brake sound is missing. That lever is kind of noisy on the real plane.. TFDI did it really good on their 717. Also in this matter of sounds, the external sounds are not on pair with the terrific internal ones. On outside views the plane is too quiet.. There is already another post on this forum about it.

3- The load manager is perfectly usable but it should be more like the new add-ons of today.. Something inside the sim, or even outside, but with a ZFW entry to work better with the PFPX or other programs (FSelite also think that way).

Did 3 flights in it and for now thats all my feedback! Again, rally great job! It's a joy flying this aircraft.

Regards..

One of the great features of this add on is the realistic CG moment, and that's the reason why we decided to keep it as a "number of passengers" based entry, you can load the aircraft differently and I promise you, it handles differently.

Additionally we need to populate the LoadSheet with number of passengers.
We agree the LM can become more user friendly.
As for ZFW and PFPX, I use standard pax weights in PFPX and match the same amount of passengers in the LM. My ZFW is always not far off (within a couple of hundred KGS).

In real life as well the Operational Flight Plan is not computed to the kilo, as it is produced way before everybody checks in their luggage.
Companies usually have tolerances +- which might require to recompute the OFP (we are talking generally about a couple of tons for a narrowbody).

Understood! I use the profile from Flyprecisely for the MD-82. How can I put this standard pax weights on the PFPX? Sorry to bother.. I know that this has nothing to do with the maddog..

I'm not home right now on my PC but in the PFPX general setting you have a setup page to decide your passengers weights.
Generally companies use their own average values of around 84kgs for adults, 35kgs for children, while infants have no weight.

They should already be set to the correct values if I'm not mistaking.

Also make sure your DOW in the PFPX profile and the Maddog one are the same.

You will be happy to know that we worked with FlyPrecisely to have a customized profile which will include Cost Index consistent with the Maddog X Cost Index.

I got to this point too, using SimBrief. There you can set the ZFW of the AIRCRAFT and it uses it as a base weight for its calculation. I am almost sure I have seen this on PFPX too, it's been a while since I have used it though. But this way it actually becomes quite handy too.
