February 25, 20188 yr If anyone can please help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am running FSX Acceleration. I also have FSX at War. Yesterday I downloaded and installed the Carribbean Theater in FSX at War, after doing that I noticed there was an updated to FSX at War, so I then downloaded and installed the latest updated to FSX at War. Now, when I start FSX I get the following problem message which I don't know how to solve: "There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names. Empty_C05 Simobjects\misc\FSXatWarPack1_Empty" Please help. Thank you!
February 25, 20188 yr Commercial Member Hi, Sounds like the installers forgot to clean up something. Were you supposed to uninstall one of those assets before updating? You have a duplicate SimObject somewhere, that you need to locate and disable. As it is a duplicate, start with the one that the message mentions: Go to the FSX directory, then take a look into the "\Simobjects\Misc\FSXatWarPack1_Empty" folder. There probably is a sim.cfg in there (or an aircraft.cfg, depends on what the developer wanted to create). Now you have two options: One: rename the file to "sim.cfg.off" (or "aircraft.cfg.off") and the message will be gone. Two: open the sim.cfg, find the [FLTSIM.x] section where the "title=Empty_C05" line is visible. If this is the only [FLTSIM.x] section, proceed with option One. If there are more than one, disable the offending section by putting "//" in front of every line of the section (EVERY line down to the next "[" section title). Pay attention to the numerical sequence - [FLTSIM.x] sections must always be numbered from 0 - n sequentially. You may have to correct that sequence if the section that you disabled was somewhere in the middle. Best regards LORBY-SI
February 25, 20188 yr I usually get that message when I run FSX repair disks, I've long ago renamed some of the default aircraft for organization reasons, and FSX will regenerate the default aircraft again, and I get that same message! I finally gave up on trying to stay organized, so I went back to the original titles. I will copy Lorby's suggestion for future use! I might need it! Thanks - Rick
