AVG being simply disabled may not be enough (to be CLEAR, given the situation recently, I'm not saying remove all AV, as the built-in Win Defender being installed and active will be enough). Try running the OC Updater. It will install any bits and pieces of the OC that are missing. It likely got intercepted at the end of your NGX install because AV programs have gotten increasingly aggressive about picking up on processes that look like trojans (programs that are on your comp that download more files out on the internet). Somewhat understandable, but when you're the one running the install? Not so much. Again, to be CLEAR: while I would suggest removing AVG, I DO NOT suggest removing all AV, or even disabling Win Defender. Try the updater, first, however. Kyle Rodgers

You might be able to get away with creating an exclusion for the OC folder in AVG. How that is done is something you'll have to look up. I don't use aftermarket AV programs, specifically for reasons like you're experiencing. Again: be absolutely sure that you have Win Defender running and active before you remove any other AV. Aftermarket AV programs have become increasingly (and unnecessarily) aggressive over the last year or so. It'd be one thing if they still popped up warnings and said "hey, this looks odd, you sure?" but they don't. They silently stop things from running, and even delete all kinds of things without notification, and somehow think that's okay. In my eyes, that's honestly a virus, itself. Kyle Rodgers
