I notice you tagged this as P3D 4.1, have you considered updating and trying it on v4.2? I always run V4 as admin, its just a thing I do with most games to limit any issues with permissions. I heard 4.2 has some issues so Im waiting for a patch to see if most things are fixed. I always wait a while until updating... its a me thing :)
February 27, 20188 yr Fair. I would try what vgbaron was saying 17 hours ago, vgbaron said: Are there any messages in the event viewer? I really doubt a hardware issue if it's hanging at the splash screen. What add ons are you running? Have you tried deleting the P3D.cfg file? Rename the dll.xml files and try then. If it works - add back the individual xml entries until you can isolate the issue. It will have to be a trial and error situation. Something is hanging up the loading process. It's likely a corrupt file or conflict with another service or software. Start eliminating potential conflicts and go as close to a vanilla install as possible (no add-ons, clean install, no start up programs, etc) until you eliminate the culprit. Logs and event viewer errors are your friend I doubt it's hardware Brian Laird Too tall to fly for real, so I sim instead i7 6700K | EVGA GTX1070 (8GB VRAM) | 16 GB DDR4 RAM | Asus Z170-A MoBo | HTC Vive | Saitek x52 Pro, Multi-panel and instrument panels Prepar3d v4 | Have but don't fly: FSX, FSW, XP11, FS2 (retired now that P3DV4 is out)
March 2, 20188 yr Author Quick update on the issue with P3D, I tried re installing FSUIPC for p3D v4.1 but didnt fix the issue. But as soon as I upgrade to P3D v4.2 and reinstall FSUIPC it decides to work. So from what I gathered it looks like to be a FSUIPC-P3Dv4.1 issue. Thanks for all your help guys
