Blurry panel back-light

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a problem with the readability of font when using panel back-lighting. Is there anything that can be done about it? I have attached screenshots of overhead panel with back-lighting and one without.

P3Dv4.2 settings:

  • FXAA: Off

  • Anisotropic x4
  • Ultra (4096x4096)
  • No HDR

Maddog X v. 1.0.4 64bit settings:

  • VC Resolution: Medium
  • RealLight and TrueGlass resolution: Low

Same here.

Very noticeable when using a VR headset.

I haven’t experimented yet but wonder if RealLight resolution set to LOW has anything to do with it.

Real light must be set to Medium.  Even with panel resolution at HIGH, the overhead panel and gauges will be blurry at night if Real Light is at Low.  I get great visuals/performance with VC resolution at Medium and Real Light Resolution at Medium as well!

Thanks Kordatc,

I will try this when I get home tonight. But I’m hoping performance will not be too affected for VR use.

Thanks @KORDATC, it's way better with RealLight set to Medium.
