VOZ Question.

Ok , so i installed this wonderful package and i'm kind of perplexed about what will happen if i fly from brisbain to sydney how will the scenery behave ? (texture wise)

I haven't installed it yet, but I have read both of the manuals, and compromises have to be made because of apparent limitations in FS. I think there is one area that should be best used for general flying the whole area and perhaps use only the others for their particular areas. Probably best to try and see how it looks. I will do the same soon, but I won't know any different between right and wrong appearance as I have never been there.

OK folks , I have just completed a flight from BBB to ESSY and did an emergency landing at a remote field.I just want to say that VIZ provides the BEST generic terrain textures in FISK Too bad that in some sceneries my jet actually crashes without hitting any kind of visible obstacle. All in all this is one great scenery package ( i love the inland lakes texture and the visibility limit texture file)Thank you VOZ team.i really appreciate your efforts.

Just try it and see!! Really though - the VOZ textures, combined with the 76Metre addon mesh , transform flying around Australia - especially for those that know it. It is just so much better than the default MS scenery. If you look at a map of Australia, and understand something of it's geography, you will see that the landscapes vary around the country. Red Desert in the centre , tropical in the north and different again in the SE and SW. If you select the Central region textures , then you will need to fly in the centre(The Outback). It will look silly to have central red desert textures when flying around Sydney or Darwin. When you run VOZ, you can see the approximate areas of the country which require the necessary textures to be installed. But dont be afraid to experiment. What with this global warming and the bad drought that we have been experiencing in Oz for almost 10 years now , who knows - maybe one day soon the central red desert textures will be suitable for the Sydney area.I had a good laugh the other day. Apparently the Poms in the UK are worried about drought. It seems that they haven't had much rain for a little while - a few weeks - and they are real worried. HA HA :) They wouldn't know how to spell the word "drought" - much less understand what one is. Barry

G'day there, the VOZ switcher that was placed on your desk top willgive you an idea of the correct texture that you should select for the area / areas will wish to fly in. Keep in mind that this version allows you to change seasonal textures in the SE region giving a four different "looks". A good place to start, to see VOZ at it's best would be Hobart ,Tasmainia.Ausievozsig_ausie.jpg

As a rule, if you use the SE Region, it applies to pretty most of the area of the country from below Brisbane all the way west to Perth and inland about 300km, which is about 80% of the area you'd use for GA flights.
