  1. Try this to recover from a texture memory melt down in FSX. You know, when your flying along and all looks well with the world then WAM, texture melt down both in scenery, panels and external views of aircraft.I discovered this, when in disgust I went to close the sim down (Ctrl C ) then changed my mind and clicked "NO" when prompted "do you want to close FlightSim". When the Sim reappeared, like magic all the textures where back. It is the quickest way to regain textures and continue on your way. Works with most small lockups as well.I am using the RTM build. >I just wanted to make sure of the steps before I mess it up.>I have 1.1 installed. So I go into the VOZ config, click>unvoz, then install 1.2 and thats it?You've got it. By "unvozing" your default textures are restored.Choose yes when asked to "overwrite", then after install "voz" the region you wish to fly in. Remember the SE region now has the four seasons. Select your season from FS as normal.ausie.

G'day there, the VOZ switcher that was placed on your desk top willgive you an idea of the correct texture that you should select for the area / areas will wish to fly in. Keep in mind that this version allows you to change seasonal textures in the SE region giving a four different "looks". A good place to start, to see VOZ at it's best would be Hobart ,Tasmainia.Ausie
  4. Hey Jeff, bored with Flight sim? Mate, never be bored again.Go to OZ mate!!Australia has always been a great place to fly any type of aircraft but now with a sensational new scenery package for the whole country ita knock out. The scenery is designed for GA flying and textures can be change to suit the regions of the country you are flying. Whats even better? It's freeware mate. Do a search on Google forVista Australis. You'll love it and it's free.Ausie.

Because of the file structure of FS9 when you switch to VOZ all theSummer textures are changed for the world. If you have the SouthRegion running then that type of "look" will be reflected throughout FS9. That is if the Land class calls for a similar groundtexture to be displayed. Switch to the Northern Region and that richgreen will appear throughout. I just checked the Seattle area but bychanging to "spring" it was a quick way to get to the default look.Autogen building and trees will remain "VOZED" until you "UNVOZ".If you use BEV it has the same result. We will all need to get used tothinking about where are going to fly and setup the Simm accordingly.Hope this helps.Clive Marriott
  6. Did you know that Microsoft has a flight set up in the Sim just waiting for this scenery to come along ? Very much worth a look Down load the scenery, be patience, then---------Do this--------- Go to "Flights " then choose "select a Flight", scroll down to Modern --- Scenic wonders ( easy) then Sydney scenic. When the flight starts your in heavy rain, pause the Simm and go to World---weather---- choose Themes ------ Koorby clouds 1.When you go back to your flight be prepared to have your socks knocked off.Keep the aircraft flying straight and level and you will soon discover why weSydney Siders LOVE our city SO much. If you must, carry on and land at Kingsford Smith International. Your flight path should be---- Turn left when over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and fly down the Harbour. When you reach the coast turn right and follow the coast line. The airport is on your right. Land using Runway 25.During your flight remember to keep looking back at the City.Enjoy. Happy Xmas to all.Clive Marriott.
  7. G'day Tristan, Nova and Novd gold are textures developed for a Airport building program called Nova. The developer has made his many textures avaliable to all of us as freeware. As many scenery designers use these textures in their work it is important to have them installed in FS2004 or FS2002. Scenery that you download from the net will likely call for these textures and as they are numerous they will not be included in the downloaded scenery, therefore for the scenery to display correctly you are required to have them in your main Flight Simm texture folder. If you don't the scenery will diplay with blank squares wherever the scenery designer used the textures. You can get them at most of the FS site or I would recommend you getthem from Nova direct. http://www.fsnova.com/ and they go in the main texture folder, FS9/texturesHope this helps.Clive M. 8. WOW this is some great bird, many thanks to all involvedJust one thing I have not seen mentioned here. I have found TMB700very sluggish in the ground handling area especialy on small airfieldtaxiways. Looking forward to update.PS That back lit panel Bill has done is sensational.Clive M.

Well I can't get the thing to work. I've been in touch with the Megascenery folk about my problem, the program won't detect my SoCal scenery (it's the only megascenery I have) and they pointed me the new version 1.2. Still no joy with this new version. As I understand it you are supposed to be presented with a list of the Megascenery you have installed so you can "check" that scenery to be boosted, NOT HERE. Can't try if you can't get it to work.
  11. Hi,For many years I had no problems with stuttering in FS. Then it started. Man, was it bad. I like you tried all sorts of solutions, all to no avail. Then I thought about any resent changes I had made to the Sim. There was one, Airport Environment Upgrade 7 by ChrisArrington. At first I rejected the idea as I was getting stuttering when flying well away from any Airport. Anyway I unistalled the files and the problem was solved. This is not meant as a criticism of Chris's work. Just a problem on my machine I guess. Thought I add my thoughts to the mix as I know what its like trying to overcome what seems an insurmountable problem.Cheers for now
