May 30, 200620 yr I tried versions 1.5.0 and 1.5.1. The OLDMODULES line is in the FS9.cfg. Both create a CTD, or even a computer crash at any time FS is in use. The problem is gone as soon as they are deleted from the modules folder.Any ideas? If there's any newer version, where can I get it?ThanksLeo
May 31, 200620 yr Leo,The entry of that file should be..........FSSound.dll=1'Copy and paste' this line if you want, then save it before closing.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Dave Taylor

June 1, 200620 yr Guys,The entry is not the problem as it is exactly like you mention it and exactly as it was in my old system (had a P4 3.0 now have a FX-55), that never caused me any problem. The problem is the module itself crashing FS and not the missing line that causes the annoying "click yes to disable module" that FS9 shows.Leo
June 1, 200620 yr Hm that is an interesting problem. What other aspects of your hardware configuration have changed since upgrading to the FX55?Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
June 2, 200620 yr Well, what sound card are you using with this new system? It seems impossible to me, that the module itself is crashing you. It has to be hardware, either a conflict, or an incompatibility. Why don't you list your entire hardware setup...that will get some responses.Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
June 2, 200620 yr System specs:FX55 ClawhammerGigabyte K8NSC9392 x 1Gb Ram Kingston PC 3200 (matched pair)EVGA 6800GT Audigy4 SCVIO 550W PSU (I know, nobody knows the brand ;))WD 200 Gb, 7200 RPM1 Generic CD-RW1 HP DVD-RWLatest drivers for everything (mobo, CPU, sound card, and VC).I guess I will have to give it another try though. I reseated RAM in the slots 3 & 4 instead of 1 & 2 (getting an error when running a Memtest tool, now it is gone), and also reseated the two cards.Anyway, isn't it there a newer version of the FSSound.dll?txsLeo
