March 8, 20188 yr Hi I have selected the option "Calculate Safe Enroute altitude". In flightplan I have to enter the altitude manually anyway? Or do I misunderstand this function? I like to fly in the mountains. I thought Pilot2ATC would consider the mountain heights automatically when approaching LOWI Innsbruck (for example). Regards, Marcel Edited March 8, 20188 yr by ryma
March 8, 20188 yr Commercial Member If you select Calculate Safe Enroute Altitude, when you enter your Cruise Altitude, P2A will check to make sure you are at least the Minimum Enroute AGL above any elevations along the flight path. This, of course, takes some time. That is why it is optional. Going to LOWI, if you enter 7000' for Cruise, it will be increased to something like 11000 or 13000 most likely. If you enter FL 320, it will not be changed. Dave
