Hello Tom,I thought that you might like to make this post a sticky for the benefit of other people,I hope you don't mind me asking, but, I am just trying to make other people aware of the potential pit fall of having the same problems that I have just had.I was contacted by a friend of mine a few Weeks ago, who was ranting on about how good IE7 is, but, although it's a Beta2, I did not think that it would interfere with FS9.1 in any way, well, guess what, it does.I have spent the last few days trying to figure out why I could not get FS9.1 to run, after a fresh install of Win XP Pro and SP2,it was Michael from FSGS who told me about this, and as soon as I did what he told me to, my problems went away, and I can now run FS gain.I wanted to let other people know about this, so they don't make the same mistake that I did.obviously, the decision as to whether or not this gets left here so others can benefit from my mistakes, without making them for themselves is ultimately up to you guy's at Avsim. Thanks,

There's a thread somewhere here on how to make it work. I don't remember right off how I did it, but it was simple. You'll have to do a search on the subject. It wasn't to long ago.I've been using both with no problems. Same for Office 2007.

For the inquiring minds who want to know, the resolution of the conflict between IE7 and FS9 is to remove the OLEACC.DLL from the main Flight Simulator 9 folder.Greg

Thanks both, and nice to hear from you again Greg.I must have missed the previous thread, but, I still think that this should be made sticky, even if it's just to help others avoid what I have just gone through, wouldn't that be in the best spirit of this hobby for all!with my workload of late, and the other things that I have been doing, I just didn't put two and two together to get forty eight, and realise that it could have been anything to do with IE7 Beta2.Thanks again.
