Featured Replies

Project Magenta has their demo version of their G1000 on their website.I had some trouble downloading it. The file is 13MB or something and after 7MB it stops.. But when I downloaded it again..it continued on and brought the whole thing over. Its set to be priced at 160 Euros or something..Manny

Gee, have you tried the one from Mindstar Aviation - $49.95 U.S. Very nice.

Manny,I just downloaded it quickly.Len,As I undertand it, the Mindstar is built for a specific panel and integrated. The Project Magenta software is more for home sim builders and offers higher fidelity and flexibility. Bob...

BobI've been integrating the G1000 Mindstar into various planes - two of Carenado's so far the Dakota and the Bonanza F33M and I've just finished putting it into FS9's Beech Baron 58. All with FS Panel Studio. I've found no problems flying the planes with the integration and the G1000 is now my substitute to RXP's 530 Garmin.

I love the G1000 but getting a little tired of the C182.I do have Panel Studio, but frankly I never took the time to get under the hood as much as I thought I would. I don't use the VC much so that is not a concern for me.Any tips, or better yet, config files that you could share would be great.ThanksAT

I've posted some pics in the screenshot forum. Using Panel Studio is easy. Open panel.cfg direct. Load your panel then delete the necessary gauges on whatever window you're modifying. Then add gauge by dropping, placing and sizing. The G1000 gauges start with MPI_61000.
