June 25, 200619 yr Hi,Is there anyone out there who know how this file is built up?What I know so far is:Its a tab delimited text file.Data is from DAFIFs BDRY.txt and BDRY_PAR.txtColumn data I think I know so far:TYPE (defined in Field Definitions pg. 59)ICAONAME??AIRSPACE CLASSLine START LATLine START LONLine END LATLine EMD LONSHAPE (defined in Field Definitions pg. 303)Callsign for the areaDERIVATION (defined in Field Definitions pg. 105)Primary COM FrequenzySecondary COM FrequenzyDerivation LATDerivation LONDistance (of circle or arc as defined in derivation field)Problem comes when I try to edit the file. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Worst case was when 99% of all spaces were gone after rebuilding the database.Please...if someone know something or someone that know, please tell me.The file is very outdated as there have been many changes after this file was created.
June 25, 200619 yr Moderator All of that information is derived from the various .bgl files in FS9 when you run the database utility. You aren't supposed to 'hand edit' the file. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
June 25, 200619 yr Author Sorry Bill, but you are wrong. The text files in ...FSNavigatorBin folder is just that...text files. Remove them and you wont get anything but navaids and airports in FSNav when you build the database. FSNav only read the navaids and airports from bgl files. Both AIRWAY.TXT and ISEC.TXT is the same as the AIRSPACE.TXT, and those can be updated from Navdata.
