FS Adoon Manager (payware) versu DonwLoad Manager (fr...

I own FS Addon Manager 3.5 which is a very good program.A few days ago I dowloaded "DownLoad Manager 2.8.5" By RanaSide (freeware but pay ware on the next issue).Upon reading the extensive and well written Manual I came to the conclussion that this programme does a lot of things that are not done by FS Addon Manager.I do not want to make an overkill and install both. Because of this dilemma I am counting on you my friends to give me some advice on the issue.Edmundo CardenasCaracas, Venezuela

I have used both for years. So FSM is finally going payware? Can't blame him as I am sure it is a full time job keeping that thing running. I do think FSM is more powerful in it's features. I mainly use it to scope out my scenery files and for AI creation. But I still like the way FS-AOM is laid out so that is my main prgram for storing all aircraft, panels , sounds, etc. Nice big photos of your aircraft and right below that you can have a nice big photo of your assigned panel. FSM is so confined to a small window, I get tired of having to move sliders just to read filenames (I take full advantage of long filenames). With FS-AOM I can go full screen.Plus you can d/l files directly into the program form the other site. (saves a few steps which is convenient). Boils down to what you like and what you will be using it forI think.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Thank you Mr. Clutch Cargo. The way you use FSM is what I am interested in, also to find duplicate afcads amongst others....gremlins.I will sitck to FS-AOM as my basic storing Manager for the essential goodies : a/crats, panels, etc.Edmundo cardenasCaracas , Venezuela

I feel that at this point I really must praise FS-AOM.Manfred Muhrer, the software writer patiently talked me through the re-installation on my new computer as I was having registration problems.Via 'Skype' he not only helped me but sent me the nessacery bits that were missing in my installation. The whole thing took at least 20 minutes of his time. With this sort of dedication and support, I reckon that 'FS-AOM' is the best.
