FSX-SE CTD Stopped Responding

Recommended Posts

I'm having an odd CTD. There is nothing in event log. No fatal errors. Nothing.

Happens when I right click to open a menu.

I have changed my version of UIAutomationCore.dll

The only thing being produced is a minidump file which tells me 'The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.'

No faulting modules or anything.

I am using the PMDG 737 NGX if that helps.

It is my understanding that Dovetail modified the version they installed in FSX-SE so there would be no more menu crashes.  If you removed their version, I suspect that is the problem.  Do a repair of FSX-SE.

Okay. I'll try that. Is there any way just to get the UIAutomationCore.dll without resetting all my changed files?

I know nothing about FSX-SE but there should be some information on Steam on how to repair your installation.  I think I heard that the repair will not touch any of your addons unless you installed the addon from another source other than Steam.
