If you have a lower speed ram.... lets say 3200mhz or 3600mhz... you don't need a Vccio and Vccsa that high... with a voltage between 1.2v and 1.25v is more than enough...

Thanks for all this dexter.

So with a 8700k which cores/threads would you put P3Dv4 on when using process lasso.(I downloaded it last night and going to give it a go)

I went from a 2600/750ti running FSX for 7 years with a ton of addons to an 1800X/RX580 Running P3DV4 for about 2 months and then to an 8700k with a 1080 running P3DV4 with a a growing number of addons. Honestly most simmers, including myself, spend about 10x as much time fiddling with their rig or settings or setup than they do flying. The AMD rig I got did a decent job, but again, I was spending more time messing with things and wishing I had an 8700K than flying. So after a short bit I threw in he towel, made my AMD rig my work computer, and got the 8700K/1080. And I couldn't be happier.

I like flying GA aircraft around the Caribbean (and practicing approaches for my real-world instrument rating) and with the A2A Cherokee, the GTN650, and a bunch of scenery and REX installed, I get 50-60 FPS with most everyhing cranked and the sim is just buttery smooth. I couldn't be happier. I'm not even overclocked. But now instead of spending all my time thinking about hardware, I'm flying. Well worth the money spent.
