Anything I have missed?!

Featured Replies

Greetings one and all.I have been offline for the past 4 or 5 months, and although have still been doing plenty of hours of FS2004, I feel distinctly out of touch with whats new in the world of Avsim and flightsimming!I've already picked up on the release of Rick Piper's incredible revamp of his HS.748. Well done Rick, its an absolute beauty! But aside from that is there anything else I should be making frantic attempts to download?!Looking forward to any pointers! Its nice to be back here in the forums!Best regards,Al.

iFly 747-400 SP1 (if you've already got the iFly 744, otherwise I recommend that you get it as soon as possible! IMHO, it's as good, if not better, than some payware.)

It is great for freeware but the biggest FPS stunner since the A320 PIC.

Hi DaveThe VC version of Milton Shupe's Dash 7 is due out in the next 3 to 4 weeks so I read somewhere. Can't wait for that one. As you know I'm a big fan of Milton's original Dash 7. . . a beautiful bird with sounds to knock your socks off. Also, a very frame rate friendly vesrion of his Aerocommander was released in late June, another beauty from Milton and his team's hangar. The hand flying on that one is a total joy and a lovely retro panel and gauges and the VC is smooth. If you haven't got it here's the filename:- 'ac520v31pkg.zip. Check out my AI repaints too. It's about time you got your head around AI and AFCADS mate!;-)

>Hi Dave It's about time you got your head>around AI and AFCADS mate!;-) Hi ISmet,Well, someone was going to come down to the flightsim club featured in the last issue of 'P.C Pilot' magazine and show me?I did know and have been keeping an eye out for Milton's VC view for the Dash 7, thanks for the info. Now have you bought 'TrackIR 4' yet?:-walksmile

Dave wrote:"Now have you bought 'TrackIR 4' yet?" Not as yet dave. I'm still trying to fight of the thought of wearing a silly cap whilst flightsimming:P but in principle it appeals to me a lot, VC flying is the best if your system can manage the demand they make on your system.

No need to wear a silly cap :) If you use a headset (for example when flying on VATSIM), you can attach the clip that comes with TrackIR 4 to the headset's band (assuming it's thin enough). And as for the TIR itself, it's extremely handy.

Oh right! Didn't know u could clip the widget onto a headphone band. Thanks for the tip. Mind you, I might get used to wearing a silly hat. Everything else I wear is silly.

I got round that by buying a visor, you know like some of the tennis players wear. It cost me but well worth it as it lest most of the heat out.
