Unit for fuel quantities using MCE and GSX?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just recently purchased GSX so I can use it alongside MCE.

What determines the unit that I can give my fuel quantities in? Do I have to change the sim's unit, or can I give the quantity in either pounds, KG or percents? I know percents are always an option, but I have trouble converting what planners usually give me as units into percents, so I'd rather just say what is given if possible, whether it be in KG or pounds.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Which aircraft are you flying?

For now, the stock FSX 737, but hopefully I can get the PMDG 737 running here soon. The problem withthat is apparently I read that GSX uses animations for fueling payware aircraft and doesn't actually change fuel quantity, requiring manual input into the fuel and payload page into the FMC, unless MCE can handle that bit during ground ops?

It is a shame that X-Plane isn't accessible in any capacity for blind pilots whatsoever because there was a new plugin just released called WebFMC, a universal FMC for X-Plane for the web browser. If it uses standard links, buttons etc it in theory would be accessible, and I wouldn't be hesitant about purchasing a few payware aircraft that relied on being able to look at the FMC, even if I can make voice commands for MCE to do the majority of the work if I wished.

So yes, default 737 for now.

With default aircraft, GSX would typically put out a window with very specific choices.

1 - Twenty five percent

2 - Fifty percent

3 - Sixty percent

4 - Seventy percent

5 - Eighty percent

6 - Ninety percent.

7 - One hundred percent

Since a typical user would see those, it's a matter of uttering one of the lines.

We've added the following commands for BVI users, as requested.

Half a tank

Three quarters of a tank

Full tanks

Full capacity

Maximum capacity

Maximum fuel
