I have a computer that I already have FSX Gold edition installed on and I want to install the Steam edition. I am hoping the steam edition will clean up some of the graphics and give a better overall appearance than the original boxed set I have had for years.

I plan on purchasing the bundle that has the steam edition plus and enhancement package, will this install along side my original or will I have to uninstall the original for the steam edition to properly install.

My setup by the way is a 4GHZ Quad core, 8G RAM, PNY GeForce GTX 970 video card.

Saitek Yoke, pedals, throttle quadrant, and switch panel.

So, what is your question.  They use the same file system so they both cannot be installed at the same time.  I recommend using the following guide for removing all of the FSX boxed version:  https://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx
