Taxiway accidents with MyTraffic AI...

Featured Replies

Hey guys,First of let me mention that I have posted this over at the MyTraffic support forums for their help, but am looking for more information on the subject. http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?p=329035#329035As the link mentions, there have been numerous times where an AI will attempt to taxi through me in an effor to get to the runway. FSpax detects a crash and my flight ends ??With UT I never experienced this problem, why would this be? Any ways around it?Thanksdan

I have FSP and UT and normally I don't see this behavior, except sometimes during pushback, if another aircraft pushesback before I start to taxi. Neverthe less I disable collision detection in FSP (more_option.cfg file) since many FS9 airports are misscaled leaving not enough room to taxi near parked aircraft. KLGA and KPDX are examples of this.

Thanks

I don't have My Traffic, but if I can make a guess, the only time I'd expect this behavior is if you've installed an AFCAD file that tries to trick aircraft traffic flow into moving faster. This file might have come with My Traffic or maybe you installed it previously. I would suggest getting (or making) another AFCAD for that airport and see if that fixes the problem. If you don't know, an AFCAD file tells the AI aircraft which paths they can follow on the ground. AFCAD designers can trick the AI by doing things like creating parallel paths right next to each other so aircraft think they are on two different taxiways when in fact they are on the same one. Or they can delete intersections so that AI think two paths don't cross when in fact they do. This helps to prevent aircraft from stopping for each other to keep them moving, but results in aircraft moving through each other (and you).-Gary Letona
