FMC 748 vs FMC 744 vs FMC 777

In preparation for the 748, I want to deepen my knowledge of the FMC functionalities.
On the already posted images of the 748, the FMC looks very similar to the 777 in terms of layout.
Does that also apply to its (FMC) functionality, or does the FMC operate more like the FMC of the 744?

The 777 and 748 share the NG FMC layout and interface so if you are comfortable with the 777 you will have no issues with the 748.
