Any way to get rid of some effects?

I think the tire smoke on landing, water spray from the wheels while taxiing during rain and even the contrails look terrible. I don't think they've changed much in 10 years. 

how do I get rid of them? 

I do have FSFX packages... is there a way to turn them off in there too?
