I can taxi this aircraft, take off, and land without ground looping or being kicked all over the field without hardly thinking about it. Gee I'm good, And yes the novice mode is off. So who cares? Well, I DO!!!😊 Took a bit of concentration, reading and practice. Seriously, if you're looking for a challenge and a sense of accomplishment while having fun give this one a look. Wonderful bush plane for flying the exotic corners of the world.

Absolutely. I have installed FS2020 several times over the years and always end up uninstalling. It’s just not worth the time, hassles and finances to repurchase all the addons. Having watched videos on how to set up control profiles in 2024 I definitely don’t need those hassles added to my life.

A cool thing about this thread is that it’s bought forth evidence that there is still a number of amigos still using the sim. Love it.

This museum is why I’ll keep my P3DV5 forever. I have a DC6, a Connie, CV580, a C97, P3 C46 and Electra and the list could go on and on. Some are fun to just spawn on the runway, drill some holes in the sky and land at some airport of opportunity. Not realistic but in introspection Is any sim plane realistically study level? I mean in real world how long to get rated in any of the above mentioned birds or any other you can name. Months to years. In the sim it’s all about the fun and nobody worries about getting killed for screwing the pooch.

I run X-World with XMap enhancement and XPlane looks as beautiful as anything I have seen on another sim on my desk or in video. When X-World pro comes out I plan on doing the same. Very anxious. I appreciate the man for his work. Hasten the day I say.

Any Air force bases Atlas Air flies into would be cool, such as Travis, March AFB, or Dover. Guam or Kadena I think is in Okinawa. Military bases seem to be the underserved market for sceneries.

I am totally absorbed by this great model of the 737NG. Everything about it is wonderful. The only issue I have is getting the APU on line. I have years in the PMDG and IFly NGs and never had an issue starting the APU. Just left aft fuel pump on, hold the switch in the start position a couple of seconds, release and directly the EGT starts increasing, low oil pressure light comes on and in a minute you have the APU GENs available. With Zibo it just doesn't happen. Sometimes nothing, other times the EGT comes up but no APU GENS come on. Other times nothing and if I flip the APU switch off and on two or three times the EGT temp jumps up and the generator available light comes on. Very erratic behavior. I've surfed the many discussion on this topic and it seems to be a problem for some but not others so I don't know if it is procedural or just a bug in this other wise excellent aircraft. I just redownloaded the latest Zibo version (4.05.33) yesterday and today I had to hook up the GPU and air cart to start the engines at the gate. The proper EGT displayed but I couldn't get the APU generators to come on. Yes I have the battery and stand by switches on and even GPU hooked up. I would appreciate hearing advice or thoughts from other users of the Zibo and Level Up 737NGs on this issue. I've already been to the Zibo forum on .org.

Not just the staff. Too many fan boys ready to pummel anyone who questions the church. The staff is happy to let them. After hundreds of dollars of purchases I rarely look at their forum. Sorry this subject never fails to pull my rant chain.

IMHO there is no realistic chance PMDG will reconsider anything related to P3D. I think it’s just their way of driving their herd in the direction they want them to go. For me quite disappointing.

Even though I don’t use MSFS this is an enjoyable thread. Waisted a lot of money loading down my sims with stuff barely used not to mention storage. That includes expensive study level birds I just fly from A to B and so many addon airports hardly ever visited. My hats off to guys like @Ray Proudfoot who can be happy specializing in a particular aircraft. I guess I lack focus discipline.

Beg to differ on the good above 10k. I’ve been enjoying some good bush flights around Central America and the Caribbean in the Caravan and King Air350 and seen some great sights flying around mountainous regions with recently active volcanoes. I’m not trying to compare to MSFS which I don’t use but in my statement you see the acronym for “in my humble opinion “ so that’s what I meant. But along with the realistic flight dynamics and atmospherics it keep me challenged and happy.

The yearly subscription is only about $40 and IMHO well worth it. Over the years I’ve spent near that much on things like airports I used maybe once or twice. And you get the whole globe. An ORBX TE is close to that when not on sale.

Yea, I got the updater to work last night but to me it still seems much simpler to just reinstall the jet from my account. With the updater I still have to register the plane again which means looking the serial number up in my account so might as well just reinstall since the new install will include the update. Just save your livery file. I’m speaking of Flight Factor so fortunately this is not necessary often.

Speaking of updates updating FF aircraft with the x-updater-win is a B. Can't seem to get my feeble mind around getting the updater to work. I just end up reinstalling the aircraft to update. There's an update now for the 737-400ER.
