FlyTampa Boston KBOS addon.xml method

Featured Replies

Hello,

i just recently purchased Boston KBOS from FlyTampa. Looking to begin installation shortly, and hoping to  do the install via the new P3D addon.xml method. Can this be done in that manner, or reasons why not? Are there any special considerations or notes for me prior to beginning the process?

Just trying to ensure I’ve got any & all information needed prior to b3ginning the install. I do have Lorby’s addon tool available, if needed.

Thanks,

mike

If I remember incorrectly KBOS is one of FT's 'officially' updated sceneries, so yes, it supports the addon.xml method out of the box.

When I do install sceneries that don't use this method, it is an easy job to open Lorby's addon manager after installation, selecting the scenery that you just installed, and hitting "edit scenery". You will find a button to carryover the scenery from the scenery.cfg to the new xml method, easily and effortlessly. I do it all the time these days without any issues so far :)
