Problems with MCE interacting with native P3D 4.3 ATC

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm well aware that P3D ATC is basically Microsoft ATC with a few minor changes, E.G. the ATIS is synthesized to make it realistic.

However, when departing KSLK, I can request clearance just fine.

Controller gives me my squawk, not sure if P3D does it automatically like FSX does so I tell MCE to dial it, and then I tell MCE to select 1, I haven't bothered with actually talking yet but I'll get to that.

The pilot voice reads back the instructions, but I am not getting any readback correct afterwards, in order to contact ground.

Checking with OCR, after the text of the controller's message, it says there's nothing to transmit on this frequency basically.

ATC menus do not change after that. It's simply stuck at readback instructions or say again, and neither option works at this point. If it helps, I'm flying the Flysimware Cessna 402C.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

No need to use OCR software to read the content of the ATC window. MCE has that built-in capability. Just ask the FO

"confirm ATC options", "what are the ATC options" and should hear that read-out aloud to you. The same applies to Radar Contact ATC and PF3 ATC

Yes. I use that a lot, actually. However, for whatever reason it is getting stuck without giving a ground frequency.

I've never had this issue before.

Well, looking at the departing airport in question, it doesn't have a control tower, so that's why. I haven't used Native ATC without one before, so that explains it.
