Cant use reality xp gns 530 in realair duke v2 (resolving)

Recommended Posts

Hello

I just bought RXP GNS530 about to install it on Realair duke piston for P3DV4.

Turbine Duke works but not piston, panel config didn't show possibility to install RXP530, only bad defaut GPS500.

I'm sad because I spent money for this RXP530 and no possibility to work with Duke piston.

There is a way to get the RXP GNS to work in the Piston Duke V2, but in GPS500 mode.  There must be a description of this on this forum..

Back up your panel.cfg file and make the following changes:

[Window01]
position=8
window_size=0.30, 0.38
visible=1
ident=15531
gauge00=rxpGNS2!GPS_500_1, 0, 0, 100, 100,Popup

[VCockpit01]
size_mm=1024,1024
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$RAS_Duke_CFG
background_color=1,1,1

.....

gauge19=rxpGNS2!GPS_500_1, 40, 650, 370, 274,VC

In the RealityXP.GNS.ini file, add this section:

[GPS_500_1.Popup]
; show screen only gauge if true.
nobezel = false
; screen only border size (pixels).
border.size = 0
; screen only border color (#RGB or #RGBA).
border.rgba = #000000
; display mouse tooltips if true.
tooltips = false
; enable mouse clickspots if true, disable if false.
usemouse = true
; auto-resize dimension (width,height)
refsize =
; left mouse button popup ident  (ex: GPS_PANEL or 225).
popleft = 15531
; right mouse button popup ident (ex: GPS_PANEL or 225).
popright =

[GPS_500_1.VC]
; show screen only gauge if true.
nobezel = true
; screen only border size (pixels).
border.size = 0
; screen only border color (#RGB or #RGBA).
border.rgba = #000000
; display mouse tooltips if true.
tooltips = false
; enable mouse clickspots if true, disable if false.
usemouse = true
; auto-resize dimension (width,height)
refsize =
; left mouse button popup ident  (ex: GPS_PANEL or 225).
popleft = 15531
; right mouse button popup ident (ex: GPS_PANEL or 225).
popright =

To get the buttons and sounds to work, there is more.. PM me for details.

But this should get you started :wink:

The only difference is that the radios are separate, which is fine since the Duke has two COM/NAV radios in the panel..

Ok, I will try your solution!

Thank you so much Bert, you're a panel master!!!!

OK.. let me know how it goes!

The Piston Duke is still one of my favorite airplanes, and the RXP version of the GPS500 is really nice  :smile:
